Trump Phenomenon Continues On "Mega Tuesday"

Some are calling today “Mega Tuesday.”

It’s not quite Super Tuesday in the primary season, but it does include big delegate prizes in two big states, Ohio and Florida.

And new polling continues to show Donald Trump leading among Republicans, something not predicated by hardly anyone — save Donald Trump — a year ago.

Matt Resch is a Lansing-based political consultant who has been aligned with Republicans. And while he has never seen anyone quite like Trump, he is convinced negativity surrounding his campaign will hurt Republicans running for office in Michigan.

Resch, who handled communications for both former Governor John Engler and former Lt. Governor Dick Posthumus, says he thinks Trump will have an impact, adding that he’s still hoping he’ll wake up one morning and the Trump phenomenon will all be over, before it’s over.
