President Donald Trump has endorsed Republican John James in the Michigan Republican primary race for U-S Senate. James is running against Sandy Pensler for the right to challenge Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow in November. Both James and Pensler have based their platforms on support for President Trump’s policies.
Meanwhile, the Michigan Sierra Club’s Political Action Committee has begun a fund-raising effort to support Gretchen Whitmer’s gubernatorial bid. Whitmer is running against Abdul El-Sayed and Shri Thanedar in next week’s Democratic primary.
