Toll Roads Still Supported By Some

While the legislature and the governor have put in place a new funding mechanism for road and bridge maintenance in Michigan, the package did not include anything about toll roads.

But the idea of toll roads is still not being abandoned by many.

Lance Binoniemi of the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association says toll roads — the modern version of it — could still be in Michigan’s future.

In other states, such things as toll lanes have gained popularity by offering a faster option for those willing to pay for it.

So far however there are no serious proposals in Lansing to create toll roads.
