A three car accident yesterday on U.S. 41 near Boston Rd. has left three people injured. Around 4:30 p.m., a 19-year-old man from Hancock was going south on U.S. 41 in his Dodge Neon. That’s when police say he rear-ended a Chevrolet SUV driven by a 55-year-old Hancock man which caused the SUV to collide head-on with a northbound Mercury Sable driven by a 23-year-old woman from Calumet. All three drivers were taken to Portage Health to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The roads at the time of the accident were snow-covered and icy with whiteout conditions. The driver of the Neon was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
