You can’t always see them, but they are there.
Many people living in the Copper Country are homeless.
And though alleys filled with people sleeping in the street may be something local residents only see on television, homelessness can take on many forms.
Including so-called “couch-hopping”, where sometimes entire families move from one friend’s home to another, never knowing where they will sleep the following night.
An effort is underway to help individuals and families get back on their feet.
Local resident Brian Foreman is in the process of setting up what he has called The Foreman House.
Foreman has access to a building in the Village of South Range that he plans to use for the shelter, but he is in need of a lot of help to make it happen.
Foreman has set up a Go Fund Me
https://www.gofundme.com/4wc5sxws account to help with startup costs and he hopes to be able to start providing beds sometime next year.
