Tampon Tax Bill Pushed In MI Senate

A bill in the Michigan Senate would get rid of the so-called tampon tax in the state.

Michigan still considers feminine hygiene products luxuries, not necessities, making them subject to sales tax.

Democrats David Knezek of Dearborn Heights and Rebekah Warren of Ann Arbor are behind the push.

Six states and Canada have recently eliminated taxation on feminine hygiene products.
