The state Senate is back at the Capitol this week and work is expected to continue on a plan to fund Michigan’s roads.
State Senator Dave Hildenbrand, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee, says he’s not sure what his chamber’s plan for roads will look like yet, but says it will likely include more General Fund money.
Hildenbrand says the idea of tax hikes has also been kicked around, but he’s not on board with that.
Leadership in the Senate hopes to have a plan sometime in July.
