Synder Asks For Federal Air To Deal With Health Effects Of Flint Water Crisis

Governor Rick Snyder is asking the federal government for money to help young people in Flint deal with potential effects of lead exposure.

The governor is seeking permission from the Obama administration to allow all young people in the city the chance to receive publicly funded health care services.

Snyder’s initiative targets residents up to age 21 through the expansion of Medicaid.

The White House and federal Department of Health and Human Services did not immediately respond to the governor’s request.
