An Escanaba man has been arraigned in the stabbing death of his wife. 36-year-old Kallay Batchelor is charged with Open Murder/Homicide. Escanaba Public Safety officers were called to the couple’s home on the city’s north side Wednesday morning. When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Heather Batchelor dead in the upstairs bedroom. Kallay Batchelor was arrested at the scene. He’s being held without bond in the Delta County jail pending a preliminary exam on September 12. If convicted, Batchelor could spend the rest of his life in prison.
