Study on Marriage and Heart Disease

A new federally funded study will look at the relationship between the stress of marriage, and heart disease. Michigan State University researchers will be leading a study on how biology and social factors interact with marriage to affect cardiovascular health. They say the findings will have important implications for health policy and practice. The study will focus on people aged 50 and older based on two nationwide datasets from the National Social Life, Health and Aging Project and the Health and Retirement Study.
