Strawberry Festival Lions Fun Trail Run

The pre-registration deadline for the first-ever Strawberry Festival Lions Fun Trail Run is fast approaching. Pre-registration by tomorrow guarantees participants an official t-shirt. The benefit run, organized by the Chassell Lions, will benefit local non-profit Simple Kindness for Youth which provides life-enriching mini grants to school children in Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw counties. The Strawberry Festival Lions Fun Trail Run is slated for Saturday, July 12 at 8:00 a.m on the Chassell Trails behind the Chassell Heritage Center. Children are welcome to participate and runners and walkers may choose from a 2K or 5K option. Day of registration is possible from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on July 12, however pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help volunteers be prepared and organized for this new event.
