Ten steel industry companies are coming to Michigan Tech on Wednesday to introduce students to career opportunities in the industry that supports the creation of everything from cars to skyscrapers. Last year, Steel Days attracted four companies. This year, participation has expanded to 10. The Association for Iron & Steel Technology, a founding sponsor, is returning to participate in the event. An industry expo and cookout will be held in the center of campus under the Career Fest tent with an opportunity for informal networking with company reps. Later, a panel of industry experts will answer questions and talk with students in the Van Pelt and Opie Library’s East Reading Room.
