Two teenage girls are dead following a single vehicle crash in Gogebic County Saturday morning.
Authorities say the crash happened around 2:30am on Lake Road in Ironwood Township.
The vehicle reportedly ran off the road and hit a tree.
Two girls, 18-year-old Lauren Powless and 15-year-old Madeline Jackson, were killed in the crash.
20-year-old Zachery Hammon survived the accident and was taken to Aspirus Ironwood Hospital where he was treated and released.
The investigation is still ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.
The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Michigan State Police Wakefield Post, Beacon Ambulance and Gogebic County Victims Services
