Transparent Silver Developed By U of M

Researchers at the University of Michigan have developed a type of ‘transparent silver’ they hope will soon become the standard for flexible displays and touch screens.

Silver’s basic properties don’t allow it to be spread exceptionally thin.

But U of M experts got around that by combining the silver with a trace of aluminum.

In addition to screen surfaces, they hope it can also help boost computing power.
