Indoor dining in Michigan restaurants could resume February 1st.
The Michigan Licensed Beverage Association said yesterday that it expects Governor Gretchen Whitmer to confirm the date at a press conference today.
The announcement said the MLBA is disappointed that the indoor dining shutdown will remain in place for another half-month, but that seeing a light at the end of the tunnel is reassuring. The delay will also give restaurant owners and suppliers time to restart the product supply chain.
The MLBA says it anticipates curfews and limited capacity, with possibilities for restaurants that meet certain health guidelines to be granted increased capacity.
