Statewide Tornado Alert Test Today

Michigan authorities will conduct a statewide tornado drill this afternoon.

If all goes as planned, at 1:00 radio stations will air Emergency Alert System tones and messages. Community warning sirens will sound, and messages will be delivered to enabled cell phones.

It’s just a test – part of Michigan’s Severe Weather Awareness Week.
