School Gun Ban Upheld

The Michigan Court of Appeals has reversed a circuit court ruling against Clio Area School District, allowing it to enact a district-wide gun ban.

The court found bans enacted by the Ann Arbor and Clio school districts don’t conflict with a state law which prohibits local governments from regulating gun possession.

A ruling which made Clio Superintendent Fletcher Spears happy.

The issue is expected to be argued before the Michigan Supreme Court next year.
