Michigan wants to put a stop to a lower court decision ruling the state unconstitutionally put additional restrictions on registered sex offenders long after their convictions.
The appeal asks for a full review by the high court before any changes to sex offender registration and enforcement are applied.
Attorney General Bill Schuette wants a stay issued.
