New reports are revealing positive impacts of Michigan hospitals on the state’s communities and its economy.
The Michigan Health & Hospital Association says in fiscal year 2014, 17 of every 100 jobs in Michigan were directly or indirectly related to or induced by healthcare.
And nearly 4-out-of-5Michiganders benefited from community services offered by Michigan hospitals.
The MHA also says Michigan’s 133 community hospitals invested roughly $2.9-billion during fiscal year 2014 to improve the health of their local residents, neighborhoods and communities.
