Push To Make Shining Lasers At Planes A Felony Continues

Legislation adopted by the Michigan House would make it a felony to shine a light or laser at or in the path of a passing aircraft.

Here’s State Representative Tom Barrett.

The Eaton County Republican says recent incidents out of Metro Detroit called for introduction of the bill.

Meantime, Michigan State Police helicopters have been hit by lasers 25 times over the past five-years, including 15 times in 2016.
