In the wake of his victories in the Super Tuesday primaries yesterday, a new poll shows Joe Biden with a significant lead over Bernie Sanders in Michigan.
The survey performed by the Glengariff Group for WDIV television and the Detroit News was taken before yesterday’s elections, and before several candidates withdrew from the race.
It shows Democrat voters favoring Biden over Sanders 29 to 22 percent.
Mike Bloomberg, Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar totaled 19 percent support. They have since dropped out, and thrown their support behind Biden.
Nearly 40 percent of those surveyed said that the biggest factor in making their decision was defeating President Donald Trump. 18 percent said health care was their primary concern.
The Michigan presidential primary will be held next Tuesday.
