The Chocolay Raptor Center in Marquette is taking care of an injured owl–again.
Co-Founder Bob Jensen says they first nursed “Papa Owl” back to health after it was shot with a pellet.
He says a good Samaritan found Papa Owl in distress outside and brought him into the Raptor Center.
They wouldn’t have known this was the same owl they treated three months ago if it weren’t for the pellet which showed up in x-rays, which was purposely left inside of Papa Owl’s wing the first time.
