University of Michigan astronomers have discovered what could be another dwarf planet.
Nicknamed “DeeDee,” the celestial body is located more than 90 times farther from the sun than Earth.
U of M researchers say their goal was to find “Planet Nine.”
For the past two years, astronomers have theorized that such a planet existed, based on various other objects with patterned, elliptical orbits.
Currently, DeeDee is the second-most distant object in the solar system.
