Mosquitoes Still Hanging Around

Michigan State University entomologist Howard Russell says usually outdoor mosquitoes are gone by the end of October. But this year it has not yet been cold enough to put an end to them for the year.

Russell says these mosquitoes hatched during the very rainy early fall and likely don’t carry the West Nile virus. But they could threaten your dog with heartworm.
