Michigan Reps Expected to Hold Party Lines on Impeachment Vote

The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to hold a vote on impeachment articles against President Trump today.

Michigan’s congressional delegation is expected to split along party lines.

Republican First District Representative Jack Bergman announced his support for the president early on, and has not wavered.

Detroit-area Democrats Haley Stevens and Debbie Dingell became the last to announce their intentions yesterday, as they committed to voting in favor of impeachment.

Former Republican Justin Amash from west Michigan is also expected to vote in favor. He left the GOP last summer, and became an independent.
