Major Blood Shortage Across The Country

The American Red Cross is issuing an emergency call for blood and platelet donors after about 37,000 fewer donations were given in November and December than expected.

Todd Kulman, with the Red Cross in Michigan, says all blood types are needed and they’ve added nearly 200 hours to donor centers nationwide over the next few weeks.
