The total cost of a disturbance at a prison in the U.P. is nearly $900-thousand dollars.
It happened in September, when about 100 emergency response team members were sent to Kinross Correctional Facility following a protest by a few hundred prisoners.

About $740,000 involved costs for the emergency response teams. Over $86,000 went to repairs.
