It’s your chance to make Michigan history — by preserving it.
The Archives of Michigan is looking for genealogists and others interested in the state’s rich heritage to help index naturalization records that previously were unavailable online.
The Archives currently has hundreds of thousands of records, dating back 200 years.
The state is working with the online company FamilySearch for the software and imaging aspects of the project.
When it’s all done, the records will be free online.
