Group Touts Benefits of Immigration Reform

A new report from the Michigan Office for New Americans says 60-thousand immigrants have moved into the state between 2010 and 2014.

The ten percent increase is higher than the national average of nearly six percent.

The Associated Press says the influx of immigrants helped to mitigate the state’s broader population loss and the effects of the recession.

The report was put together with the help of the Partnership for a New American Economy which supports immigration reform.
