A one-person grand jury is being requested to investigate Governor Rick Snyder’s alleged use of tax payer funds for his personal legal defense in connection with the Flint water crisis.
Attorney Mark Brewer filed the action. He says the Governor bypassed all procedures in State law for procuring funds.
Brewer, who is the former head of Michigan’s Democratic party, says his request is not political because the judge that will hear the case, if authorized, is independent.
Snyder’s office says he did not break the law.
