February auto industry sales were improved due to strong demand for pickups and SUVs.
With sales of over 50,000, the Chevrolet Silverado saw a jump of 17 percent over last February, while Ford sold almost 69,000 SUV’s – a record for February.
However, Ford’s overall performance was down 4 percent because of a 24 percent drop in car sales.
Both General Motors and Nissan had sales gains of 4 percent.
