Criminal Justice Reform Legislation Gets New Life

It was left for dead last year during lame duck, but now criminal justice reform legislation is receiving attention by the Michigan Senate.

Members passed a 21-bill package to cut cost, the number of prisoners in Michigan and reduce crime across the state.

Here’s state Senator John Proos of St. Joseph.

The Michigan House is eager to move on the legislation.
