“Creepy Clown” Sightings Making Real Clowns Sad

Legitimate clowns say recent reports of “creepy clown” sightings are giving them a bad rap.

When Bob Ammon of Allen Park isn’t driving a truck, he tools around town as “Bobo the Clown.”

He feels the perception of clowns has changed during his 25 years in the business, in part, due to movies and books that paint clowns as villains.

For those who don’t like clowns, Ammon doesn’t push the issue, although his repertoire of balloon tricks and good-natured fun can sometimes win over skeptical kids.
