Serving areas at Michigan restaurants and bars must remain closed, after a federal court declined to intervene on Friday.
The Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association filed suit, saying that Michigan’s order closing their facilities was discriminatory.
U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney disagreed, and declined to issue a temporary restraining order, saying that people can wear masks while patronizing stores and gyms, but can’t while eating and drinking.
The case will continue, with the next hearing set for November 30th.
The three-week COVID-19 pause in Michigan is scheduled to end December 8th.
