Concerns Continue Over Bullying In Schools Following Election

Michigan State Superintendent of Schools Brian Whiston has released a statement regarding a number of reported incidents in schools of students harassing, bullying, intimidating, and using hateful speech toward other students since the election.

He acknowledges that the nature of the election reached a new low, but schools must be a safe haven for children.

He goes on to say that we must not let political rhetoric and actions diminish the positive learning environments that we have worked so hard to nourish.
