Christmas Trees Being Donated To Military Families

Military members all over the U.S. will get some holiday cheer as Christmas tree farms , including some in Michigan, are donating Christmas trees for military families at bases in the U.S.

The Peacock Road Tree Farm in Laingsburg, near Lansing, has been donating trees to Trees for Troops for a number of years, according to owner Diane Carpenter.

Carpenter says people and schools donate money to sponsor the trees and she says kids make ornaments for the trees too.

She says they often will get thank you notes from the military members who received a Christmas tree.
