Body Of Missing Iron River Man Found In Lake

IRON RIVER —A body found in a lake in Iron County has been identified.

The Iron River Police Department contacted the Iron County Sheriff’s Office on Monday after a report of a body found in Bates Township.

Deputies recovered the body of 47-year-old Jay Luckey of Iron River. Luckey had been missing since last October.

The investigation continues into the cause of the death. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police and Iron River Police Department.
