As city leaders see it, the city of Ann Arbor has too many deer — about one hundred too many. Tonight, a public hearing will focus on plans for a deer cull.
At issue: HOW to kill the deer.
Past culls have included sharpshooters and a sterilization program.
Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor.
Council members appear to be in favor of the deer cull.
The combined effort will cost about $150,000. The deer meat is processed and given to local homeless shelters.
