As a result of armed protestors in the State Capitol Building last week, Michigan’s Capitol Commission is seeking legal advice, in hopes of banning firearms inside the Capitol Building.
Lansing got national attention last Thursday, when residents opposed to Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home Stay Safe” Executive Order, converged on the Capitol Building.
Governor Whitmer extended Michigan’s “State of Emergency” Declaration through May 28th, but so far, the “Stay Home Stay Safe” Executive Order, is set to expire on May 15th.
That is however, subject to an extension as well.
Protestors made their way to the Senate public gallery, and shouted at state senators on the Chamber Floor.
While no shots were fired, one protester was arrested.
