Spring Ice Skating Shows Begin

It’s ice show season in the Copper Country, with two of the area’s most anticipated skating performances scheduled this weekend.

The L’Anse-Baraga Figure Skating Club will present its annual skating show at the Meadowbrook Arena tomorrow at 6:30 and Sunday afternoon at 2:00.

The show is entitled “Skate Like No One’s Watching” and tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Calumet may yet be Hockeyville, but this weekend the ice at the Colosseum belongs to the Calumet Figure Skating Club as they perform “Brits and Blades: A Rocking Excursion Through London’s Landmarks.”

Shows will be tomorrow at 7:00 and Sunday at 1:00.  Tickets are $4 for students and $6 for adults.

The Copper Country Skating Academy will present their ice show, “Skating Through the Decades” at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena on March 21st and 22nd.
