A South Range woman is facing multiple charges stemming from a robbery at the Range Lounge, where she was employed.
36-year-old Sasha Anderson appeared in Houghton County Circuit Court on Monday.
There, she stood mute to the charges of Embezzlement of $1,000 or more but less than $20,000—a ten year felony, Larceny of more than $1,000 but less than $20,000—a five year felony, and making a false report of a felony—punishable by up to four years in prison.
A “Not Guilty” plea was entered on her behalf.
The robbery allegedly took place at the South Range VFW in December.
Another suspect, 36-year-old Clinton Jarriel is still at large.
Authorities say Anderson reported that an unknown suspect confronted her as she was closing up for the night and stole a large amount of money.
She was arrested about a month later following the initial investigation.
A pretrial will be held in four weeks.
