South Range VFW to Dedicate Flagpoles

VFW LogoOne of the most significant Memorial Day services in the Copper Country this year will be in South Range… where the VFW Post will formally dedicate 26 new flagpoles installed around the Veterans plot at Mountain View Cemetery. The dedication ceremony will start following the 11:45 Memorial Day service. The name on each flagpole will be read and blessed by local clergy. Special tribute will be given to the flagpoles bearing the names of the Post’s Silver Star recipients from World War Two and Korea… and also of those who made the supreme sacrifice. Members of many of the families who donated the poles will be present. You’re invited to attend the ceremony… and then join VFW members for a beef stew dinner at 12:30 at the Range Lounge following the dedication.
