South Range Preparing for Another Eventful Fourth of July Celebration

In one week Fourth of July celebrations will kick off the day in the South Range. For many years South Range has included fun activities for friends and families to celebrate the national holiday all day long. They are starting the day with the annual flag-raising ceremony at 8 am and dedication to veterans in front of the South Range fire hall.

Morning activities for kids include Fun in the Park and the Fourth of July Children’s races. As well as the introduction of a new Touch –a-Truck event at The Miner State Bank on Tri-Mountain Avenue. Then the annual Fourth of July parade through town with military vehicles, fire trucks, and the kid’s bike parade. Followed by more fun with live music, a horseshoe and cornhole tournament, and a 50/50 raffle. Parade entries can earn a cash prize worth up to 200 dollars, and kids participating in the bike parade will earn five dollars for decorations.

The South Range Fourth of July Committee also requests that holiday visitors do not bring personal fireworks to the event. This is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all Fourth of July goers. The Fourth of July south range fireworks at dusk will include plenty of sparkle for the community without the extra help.
