South Range Lions Club Holding Oktoberfest this Saturday

And this Saturday in South Range the Lions Club hosts Oktoberfest. The whole day looks to be a great time for all families, friends and celebrating together. The morning of the festival will be at the Range Lounge with the Lions Club holding a pancake breakfast. There will be a bake sale at the range lounge as well at that time. At 9 AM the Jeffers High School 5k and 10k kicks off. That race will start at the Veterans Memorial Park. UPPCO even gets in on the fun with a safety demonstration during fun in the park. From 11 AM – 3 PM at Veterans Memorial Park will be a bouncy house for the kids. Mike Renier, who normally helps with the South Range 4th of July committee, says there will even be an open house at the Keweenaw Brewery.

Typically the bands like to play in the afternoon and evenings. The pancake breakfast they’ve always wanted that in the morning. And the Jeffers race. But it all came together and we have something kinda in the middle of the day too, with the brewery open house. So we’re happy that the brewery is on board to be open that day. – Mike Renier

Live music starts at 3 pm with Jim and Teri Enretti, followed by the Supersuits taking stage at 7pm. Food and refreshments will be at the South Range V.F.W. starting at 2pm on Saturday. 2021 Oktoberfest in South Range sounds like a blast for kids parents and friends to enjoy a wonderful fall day in the Copper Country.
