Solicitation Charges Filed Against Ingham County Prosecutor

Michigan’s attorney general has filed charges against Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings stemming from a federal human trafficking investigation.

Dunnings allegedly paid prostitutes for sex hundreds of times over a five year stretch and convinced a woman who wasn’t a prostitute to take money in exchange for sex.

Ingham County Sheriff Gene Wrigglesworth calls Dunnings behavior slimy and says he’s betrayed the public’s trust.

Attorney General Bill Schuette says Dunnings should resign.

Dunnings has been the prosecutor in Ingham County since 1996 and has spoken out against prostitution and for ending human trafficking.

His brother Steven, also an attorney, has also been charged with paying prostitutes for sex.
