Governor Rick Snyder will have his chance to testify before a congressional committee on the Flint water crisis.
The governor called Congressman Jason Chaffetz, head of the U.S. House and Oversight and Government Reform Committee Thursday and asked to testify in an upcoming hearing.
Chaffetz, Friday, says there will be a second hearing and the governor, the head of the EPA, a former EPA regional head who has since stepped down, Flint’s former mayor and emergency manager will be asked to testify too.
Snyder says he wants to talk about mistakes made by water quality experts on the state and federal level that led to lead contaminating Flint’s drinking water and a nationwide plan to replace aging lead pipes.
