Michigan Governor Rick Snyder is set to travel the country touting the state’s economic turnaround since he took office in 2011.
Supporters have created a nonprofit group called “Making Government Accountable: The Michigan Story,” which has fueled speculation that Snyder is considering a run for President.
Spokesman Jarrod Agen tells the “Detroit News” that any discussion that the governor is looking at running for the Republican nomination is “speculating” at this point, adding Snyder is “happy being governor.”
Snyder told reporters in Grand Rapids over the weekend that he didn’t want to start speculation on a presidential bid, but did not confirm or deny a run.
