Snyder Approves Outdoor Recreation Grants

Governor Rick Snyder has approved $24.7 million in grants for outdoor recreation projects.

Snyder Tuesday signed legislation authorizing the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) grants for 69 recreation projects and land purchases.

The governor says the grants will help give local communities the ability to create quality recreation opportunities that encourage people of all ages and abilities to get outdoors.

Since being established in 1978, MNRTF has granted more than $1 billion to state and local government organizations to develop and improve recreation opportunities in Michigan.
