Small Businesses Targeted By Cyber Criminals

Cyber-criminals are using computer viruses like “Crypto Locker” to attack personal computers and computer systems at small businesses, then demand a ransom to get the information back.

And a lot of people — are paying up.

That’s Dr. Alan Rea, a professor of business information systems at Western Michigan University.

He says it only takes one infected computer on a network — to take down an entire small business.
