A group trying to recall Governor Rick Snyder for his handling of the Flint water crisis have begun collecting signatures in effort to put the recall question on the statewide ballot.
Petition gathering began Sunday.
The group has only 60 days to gather the nearly 800,000 needed valid signatures to go on the ballot.
Their effort is considered a longshot.
Supporters of the recall say the governor failed residents and thus should be thrown out of office.
The governor says he’s focused right now on responding to the water crisis.
